Geoff Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I think it is a 'moan'. I would say 'pocosin' but the reference is far to obscure for the average teacher to figure out (although some people here might work it out) and it would be a waste of a post on the TES forums.

This? A bog that has formed in a shallow, undrained depression, the surrounding land being somewhat elevated, the vegetation predominantly evergreen shrubs or small trees. Pocosins vary greatly in size. I like the last part
