mavhc Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Installed windows 10 Pro 1709, enable bitlocker, no TPM, so asks for password to be set, reboots. Upon reboot, asks to enter password, then Win 10 logo appears, dots spin for a few seconds, then computer hangs, monitor in sleep mode, num lock key does nothing, have to force power off. Entering recovery key does the same thing, have to reinstall. Dell Optiplex 360, latest bios. Anyone seen anything similar?
LeMarchand Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Had something similar (but more intermittent) on some old HP Laptops. The best fix for us (as there weren't a lot of them that needed encryption) was to use VeraCrypt.
the_one_that_cant Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Its not something to do with Legacy/UEFI boot is it? I am sure we had some Dells on Legacy, but was resolved using UEFI.
