Hi

We have just moved to scan to email rather than scan to folder on our Sharp MX3650N.

We use papercut.

Is there a way when a user scans there card to sign in on papercut, the email address that is on the papercut database can be passed through to the sharp software so that the user doesn't need to enter their email address for the scanning.

I've had a read of https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/SSOonEmbeddedDevices/

Thanks

On our device, (MX4070) we have System Settings > Scan settings > Default address set to "Apply email address of the user for login" set, which pre-populates the destination address.

As you are using PaperCut enable the integrated scanning within devices on the PaperCut console and you can also scan straight to your home areas depending how you have it setup as well as as using the native function with Sharp.

Depending how you have it setup you may need to add in an application UI to give you the icon, the path would be: http://server:9191/device/sharp_osa3/ui/scanApp.jsp and then put an icon on the front screen (nice icon is located on [papercut-install-path]/providers/hardware/sharp/scan-app.png).

Any queries drop me a line.
