comedydave Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Seen the advert for pro evo for the wii the other day - it looks impossible! As a big PES fan I would love to try it on the wii. But would hate to buy a console and then find its unplayable.
JohnMason Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I have the PC version, and on my old setup I thought the game was too blocky and laggy. It couldn't be my pc (I thought), as it was fairly good spec. I then upgraded the pc and it runs perfectly. A bit high spec for what's not that graphically impressive really, but other than that, great. I'm going to check the PS3 version this weekend actually. A friend's coming over, so I'll be borrowing my boss's copy.
jammers Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I've got a pro evo on the ps3 which is awesome. I tried pro evo on the wii which my friend has. Very strange totally different. It reminds me of the early ISS games on the PS2. My online ID is CITEH feel free to give me a game.
Inbir316 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 ur opinion would change when you play fifa 08 on ps3. the next gen pro evo is p155 poor! i hope the new one improves the gameplay gets abit tedious just run past players and shoot...fifa has abit more realism in the gameplay and looks awesome!

craiglay Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Pro Evo 2008 on the Wii is awesome. You really have to think about what you're doing! Takes ages to get used to though.

Not played FIFA yet, but I still have to agree. I prefer PES08 on my Pc to the PS3 version. The only thing that had going for it is 2 players and a nice HD tv.
Guest Guest Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Having played every footy game for every platform i can say the best by a long mile is Fifa 2008 for the PC ie the last gen game. Fifa for the copnsole is absolutely crap in comparison. Runner up would have to be PES 6, and then i guess PES2008. As said PES2008 is very badly coded and needs a decent spec machine to run it, even the PS3 isnt really good enough for the job and suffers from drops in frame rate and crazy goings on with the display every so often (flickering and lines rolling down the screen). Also the gameplay has a few "features" which are annoying like "crazy goaly", "referee hitler", "fouler PC" which "tackles" players for you resulting in numerous freekicks to your opponent and, as a result of referee hitler, half your team sent off, and "put the ball over his own line defender" (you know like Fifa international where if you strayed too close to a line the player would just run it straight out for a throw-in, corner, goal etc. I mean come on, Fifa 98 had that one sussed)
