CHM-ITServices Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We very much use Doddle! From Year 7 to 13. We mainly use it for setting homework but also the PLC side of the resource. Younger students seem to love it, Sixth Form not so much. 1
NewFormz Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We've had it for about 4-5 years and it gets used loads, both in lessons and for homework. It's also one of the better resources to manage. I very rarely have to do anything with which is always nice. 1

forkies Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 We use Doddle, brought in by an assistant head. Unfortunately although it seems a good product I get the general feedback from teaching staff that it is poor, because: Doesn’t cover the same resources they need for their exam board. Doesn’t allow students to upload work/submit files. Some departments prefer using their own VLEs like Kerboodle. Students forget logins all the time as not sso. Can be slow. My only issue is that with about half the school not wanting or actually using Doddle it is VERY expensive for my budget.

Sylv3r Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 We use it here - works better in some subjects more so than others as the teachers have bought into it. We regularly remind staff to use doddle and do demo's as part of briefings etc. The Year 11's do use it for independent study. The roving account manager guy we've got is good and is always happy to come into school and work with staff on various new aspects of the programme as it develops. We bought into it for 3 years with about 18 months still to run - will be interesting when the time comes whether we decide to renew or not - currently it's probably a 50 / 50 split decision.
