We have hundreds of the Dell Optiplex 5250 machines. Ours have this spec: Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 256 M2 SSD and 5 year warranty. They have been great. You will get them cheaper than those prices you're quoting above.

The good thing with Dell you can manage the BIOS via SCCM. I updated the BIOS on 2,000 Dell machines without needed to leave my chair!

I am really happy with ours, I am about to place another order to replace Optiplex 9020 AIO machines in 3 IT rooms.

It seems like I am looking for something in between. Any ideas?

We have a number of VeryPC all-in-ones as teacher classroom PCs - no issues with the hardware, and we've had most of them for two or three years now.

Leasing in the LONG term is more expensive, but it can be a simple way to bake in refresh and smooth out spending over a multi year period. If you suffer vandalism or specify cheap kit, the value of lease is significantly reduced.

The Lenovo’s are definitely worth a look, as they have long term driver and firmware support, something that you don’t often get from the integrators.

Does it have to be new? A warrantied refurb from @ICTDirect_Dave will get you far more for your money

+1 for Refurbished HP Elite One 800 from ICT Direct @ICTDirect_Dave

Thank you both!

They're right too. You can buy our HP Elite 8300 All in One units from just £270 each, complete with 2 year warranty and core i5. They have a gorgeous full hd 23" panel, look magnificent and will be more than capable for years to come!

If you want something a little newer the the 4th Generation i5, Eliteone 800 G1 is just £315 :)

The problem with refurbished machines are that many (not all) of them won't get hardware level updates. An example would be a BIOS update to help sort out these Intel vulnerability. The HP Elite 8300 is an example of this.

Just need to do some due diligence before hand.

The 8300 along with the 800 G1 are both on the list of HP machines that will get a bios patch in the future. In the meantime, they take the Windows updates quite happily.

Not tried their AIOs (bought them, but we had a reshuffle and one of my colleagues went into the site just before they arrived), but have used Very-PC in both my main job and other jobs and have never been able to fault them.

What I would say - Worth also looking at the flex range too, which aren't proper AIOs but offer a bit more flexibility in regards to future upgrades (Screen is seperate, so you can get a bigger screen if needed/replace machine without need to replace monitor etc)

Also, if you want shiny factor - They can even brand them for you (and it's well worth doing as it looks fab!)
