ShorehamGeek Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Looking to renew our Rapid SSL certs, a quick google turned up this site: http://www.sslmarket.co.uk The prices are considerably less buying through these guys than buying direct, which is great if it is genuine and reliable! Has anyone on here had any experience of this site? Thanks,
ZeroHour Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Not used them myself but the prices are pretty cheap, trying to recall the uk based ssl reseller we used to use as they had invoicing as an option which I thought would be useful for schools and their prices were decent.

I've ended up paying for the license so I could certificate all of the websites we host internally currently running on a server running 2008 and one running 2012 R2. The 2008 server is for two legacy apps that I daren't move in case I break them. 1

It would just be reassuring to know that it had worked for someone before I have a go!

Sibrows Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Taken from the upgrade page: "Certify SSL Manager is free for up to 5 managed sites on a server, thereafter you need to purchase either a Professional or Enterprise license. You can purchase more than one license key of any type." (https://certifytheweb.com/register) I would imagine this would suit most schools. We upgraded as I needed more than 5 sites, automatic renewal and multiple servers.
ShorehamGeek Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Partial success! 1 of my sites is now using a Let's Encrypt certificate... The other requires a logon to access, and thus the config checks fail... Any ideas? Update - with a bit of tweaking, I now have my 2 sites using Let's Encrypt certificates. But, I just ran this https://github.com/PKISharp/win-acme/releases and now have lets encrypt SSL certs for FREE. Literally 5 minutes and done, it installs the certificate and even created a renewal process in scheduled tasks. Wowsers (said again to reemphasise my happiness - usually hate renewal time but this was truly painless) 1

Wowsers (said again to reemphasise my happiness - usually hate renewal time but this was truly painless) Annoyingly, the auto renew doesn't work with all services. A couple examples are be ADFS and RDS web.
