Millennium Business Systems - In Administration

Recommended Posts

I have just heard from my account manager/contact at Millennium Business Systems that the company has formally gone into administration as of this morning. All of the company assets have been frozen and they have no working capital left. All employees have been told to find alternative employment so this looks terminal. If you are a Millennium customer I would phone them as a matter of urgency to check where you stand. Just thought I would let you all know. If I hear anything else I will post it here. It seems to be sweeping around Linked In as I type this.

We have just been told by our contact at MBS as well - they knew last week that this was happening but couldn't release the information publicly until today. Edited by TechQuad4

I had a Linked In post come from my account manager, saying that he was trying to find jobs for his 40 staff before the business was formally wound up. So sounds fairly terminal barring miracles. All communication methods now seem to be dead, and emails are bouncing or not being replied to. Companies House is still showing them as trading, but I think it is a matter of time before it will update. Their website is still operational at the moment, but I don't know how long it will remain.

This isn't that dodgy company that used to cold call, flirt, offer free chocolate or football tickets, and try and send out one of their "super high capacity" toners to try out - then send a ludicrous bill?

That was another company that used a similar name (as well as others over the years)

Wish I could remember the name, all I remember is they talk so fast and for so long, I had one of them swear his "super high capacity" toner was 3 x higher than a ultra high capacity HP toners (20k copies, so his were 60k copies apparently). Then two toners you didn't place an order for turn up and they're the cheapest remanufactured toners in the world worth about £20 each along with an invoice for £419 for a 2 pack. I had a look at one and they weren't even new drums, at the time we were paying about £50 a go for a decent reman with new drums in them.

Always found this company a little odd to deal with - having 2 account managers in one company - 1 for PC stuff, 1 for AV. Seemed inefficient - should be 1 account manager, then internal teams for different things. Then you don't need 2 sets of sales people!
