What are people using for WiDi/Miracast?

I see the Microsoft display adaptor seems to be EOL. Although it wasn’t great it would have been fine for this role as the head simply wants to Robert his laptop to screen from a conference table.

There will be no heavy graphics or video so just wondering what alternatives there are?

Is the screen attached to a PC? A copy of AirServer or Reflector installed on the screen PC and AirParrot on the laptop being projected from would work.

Think Chromecast is the best option. I always thought it only cast the Chrome tab but that seems to have changed now and you can cast the whole screen

Chromecast never used to be able to connect to enterprise wireless networks. Has that changed?

Define enterprise?

We only need it to connect to a WPA2 network. We don’t use RADIUS or anything like that

We have been trying to use the integrated screen casting/sharing option in our TVs and Interactive TVs, but get lots of complaints about signal dropping. Had to put Miracast adapters back in HDMI ports in a few rooms for now

If you use G Suite, then Cast for Education is very good. Push the extension to teacher devices and cast to it from other devices - teacher can control who can cast - picks up google Classroom for example.
