Junior Librarian - loads when it wants to!

Anyone had trouble with junior librarian before. It's being very temperamental for us. 1% of the time it will open fine, showing it can be done, the other 99% of the time it stays on the white loading screen and never gets to the home page. I have called the support desk and they have suggested deleting the history etc... which we have done with no difference. They don't know where to go from here either. As it loads 1% I know the desktop short cut is correct and if I click on a link from a different schools website where it takes you to their junior librarian home page it will load straight away. I've checked that silverlight is up to date. I'm now stuck and have a huge pile of books that can't be scanned back in!!!

Has anyone else had and solved this problem?

JL has been doing this for ages. We're looking at getting rid of it now and getting something else. Tech support are impossible to get hold of.

 

For us, browser is irrelevant. Its server side holding it up nearly all the time. When I finally got through to someone further up (after 2 weeks of phoning) and threatened to cancel they amazingly found a problem with our account.

 

Its been a little less hit and miss since then but not good and certainly not worth the money.

We've tried chrome and doesn't work at all and Internet Explorer is the one it sometimes works on. Interesting how it's not just us then. It's hard as I get the pressure from staff like it's my fault but I have tried everything. finally got through to the help desk after 35 minutes on hold then our school had a fire alarm to I had to hang up after a 1 minute chat!

Which url are you using? We were using one for ages which still tried to load silverlight, changed it and now it seems to work much more reliably, although we do find the system pretty slow at the best of times!

 

The url we use now is https://juniorclassic.microlibrarian.net/?customerid= with the customer id after it, ours begins U01

I tried your one steveg with our ID code, it loaded to the home screen but wouldn't let me log on, kept saying user name incorrect although I tried a few including the admin one and double checked them.
