Hello Guys,

I am really hoping someone can help me or advise me.

We have a CC4 network, and we have moved from RM Virus Protect (Symantec), to Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security On Prem recommended from RM. The initial upgrade in terms of removing RM Virus Protect and installing the Trend Micro manager was absolutely fine, the problem I have is the clients.

The first package we did, had the wrong OS constrains on so the package ended up hanging on most machines. My colleague accidentally rolled this to Main Site, hence the situation we are in.

Anyways, I recreated the package and tested it on a few new machines, which works fine. I then rolled this out to the site, and its half installed Trend Micro, as in the Security Agent but I believe this is because of the first package that has messed up the machines.

I don't have the time to rebuild the full site, so I was hoping for some kind of cleanup batch file that was put the registry and files back, then I can reallocate the package out as if its a new install.

RM have being very cooperative with helping us solve this, but I am awaiting a reply for them for the next stage.

They gave me this to try and send out to all of the machines, but it hasn't worked as it says the files are locked by the trend micro agent.

REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro" /f

rmdir /S /Q "C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro"

I am really stuck now, and I am panicking because of the time that we have left of Half Term.

I don't suppose anyone has experienced the same or similar with Trend Micro and can advice me, literally will try anything now.

Many Thanks

James

Not sure if this will work or if theres a way to rollout manually or as part of a startup script.

Thank you for the reply, sorry I should of mentioned this, but its being a long day. I have already tried the Trend Micro cleanup files, however they fail to complete and don't remove the files.

Any more ideas?

Cheers

I can ask our NM tomorrow, he did the roll out at our site.

What OS are your clients on?

Thank you, I really appreciate that! We are running on Windows 7 x64.

Cheers

Might be worth checking it's definitely not installed. If you don't have the correct Microsoft c++ packages installed then the install shows has hanging/failed in the rmmc even when it has installed.
