[ms office - 2016] Missing Texts

Hi, we have recently upgraded from Office 2010 to 2016 in our school and have just come across a problem, if the staff open a Word document previously done in 2010 on the 2016 the text is missing, for example open a document on 2010 all is fine, open it in 2016 the boxes and columns are there but no text!! weird, would appreciate any help

Remove it using WSUS.
