Show My Homework - Login Issues

Does anyone use show my homework with gmail accounts and struggling to logon this morning? had a few parents and staff on the phone this morning saying they cant log on!

They have had multiple issues the last couple of days and still ongoing.

Yup, pretty chaotic. And we're right in the middle of demonstrating the site to our new parents! Great stuff. Hence my SSO thread too!

Indeed, though our SSO issue isn't fixed yet. Update : now fixed, touch wood.

 

Slightly baffled earlier too when I got a popup asking if I wanted to upgrade to a new version. Too wary to try it given their recent issues! But anyone know what that upgrade does?

Didn't we have issues this time last year? We just started using SMHW so wasn't over impressed. It got better though

We used to do homework tracking on our vle and I can tell you now parental and student engagement during the 1st few weeks of term would always put the server under pressure. Everyone would hit it during the 1st hour at the end of the school day. By the start of 2nd term this same traffic was being spread over 4-6 hours after the end of the school day!

Parents that were logging once a week instead of every night.

 

Add a small bug or large amounts of changes of data in a database and performance can take a dump very quickly.

Anybody having issues with SHMW since their issues.

so far we have:

- New users cannot log in

- classes being doubled up

- Teachers cannot see previous homework or grades

- Students do not appear in classes

 

Ive rung SMHW repeatedly but nothing seems to be resolved yet

Yeah, we have a problem when going through the login process they put all the details in and press update. Then it just sits there, only way we found around that for those is to do it as an admin! Which isn't ideal. The loss of the search bar at the top is making life a challenge for admins to replicate problems by looking at classes or kids.

 

Great shame, as it seems to be going from bad to worse at the moment.
