  1. An excellent band! GMB myself, but yes, union absolutely vital.
  2. Just updated our IIS server to Server 2016. Browsing our local Intranet from a workstation works fine in Chrome but Firefox (and IE) gives "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials" when I put in my details. Any ideas?
  3. Our bursar gets an error when he tries to do a preliminary closedown, i.e. he gets a red cross rather than a tick on one of the lines in this screenshot. Not the end of the world, but Capita advice is to then click the Report button to find out why it's failing. But the button stays greyed out! Any ideas?
  4. Good stuff. A sign of my advancing years (and rolling out many complex and gruelling updates over the decades) that I didn't believe it could be that simple!
  5. Ah, right. I knew about the installer but didn't know whether it was smart enough to connect! So once offsite do they then just keep in touch via the cloud?
  6. We're just setting up a bunch of standalone laptops for remote working. Can we protect them via Sophos Central and if so how? Probably really obvious but can't find a SIMPLE guide!
  7. We've tested it with O365 MFA and it worked fine.
  8. Indeed -that's how we're hoping to do it, having just bought P1 Azure licences
  9. I think I know what the answer to this will be, but here goes! Is it possible - if necessary using some fiendish mix of connectors/boxes etc - to connect a Smartboard 6000S such that (a) it duplicates the attached PC screen (i.e. not as a second monitor) but (b) uses its own high resolution rather than whatever the PC monitor is displaying?
  10. Thanks! Had a bit of a look at that already, just wondered if anyone uses e.g. a script rather than digging around in there.
  11. Looking for the easiest way to see a basic historic list of external O365 logins, e.g. name, date & time, IP. Best done in 365 itself? Powershell script? Third party app? Slightly baffled by 365's plethora of reports and dashboards. What do you use?
  12. We use EduLink, Sophos XG and on-site Exchange. We've found that a "mass email" from EduLink to parents (around 1500 recipients) is failing after 300 recipients (probably 3 batches of 100, i.e. 3 tries from EduLink hitting a 100 limit each time, then EduLink gives up). XG is acting as an MTA so the emails don't actually touch our Exchange (though we've set the recipient limits high on there anyway just to be sure). So it looks like an XG setting is the issue (EduLink email failure log shows SMTP 421 of "too many messages in this connection"). The only thing I can find on XG is Email > General Settings > SMTP Settings > SMTP DoS settings - which can indeed be set to 100. BUT these SMTP DoS settings are NOT enabled here! Thoughts?
  13. Indeed; the only difference is that on the HH4 it's an RJ11 and on the SH2 it's an RJ45
  14. Ah, right, that's what I wondered. I'm not expecting it to speed anything up - I just couldn't see how it would connect at all to my current filter without an RJ11/RJ45 adapter. So if one day I go "Yes! BT! I give in! Fibre me!" will they just give me a faster connection further up the chain and my ageing wall socket and ADSL filter will remain unchanged?
  15. Thanks, I get that what they're offering is actually FTTC, to those who want to pay for it. But I don't want that at the moment, and they've sent me a new hub anyway. My question is, is that hub currently any use to me? And how - if at all - would I connect it when my wall socket is a phone connector, and the filter plugged into that uses an RJ11 not an RJ45?
  16. My home broadband is a typical oldish setup - a BT Home Hub 4 on a bog standard 17Mb deal. The hub is connected via an RJ11 cable to a filter. The filter also feeds a phone via an ordinary phone plug; the filter itself then plugs into a normal master phone socket. BT are pushing fibre upgrades etc and have sent me a free Smart Hub 2. But the broadband socket on this is RJ45. Can I use the new hub by plugging in my old filter-to-hub RJ11 into it with an adapter, or is it useless to me until such time as I upgrade to fibre, get a new wall socket etc etc?
  17. I did also follow MrMat's suggestion and reinstall Xporter, because even when restored from Sophos it didn't work. That fixed it.
  18. In our Sophos Central we added GCX_SvcApp.exe as an exclusion here : Server Protection > Policies > server policy name > Settings > Exclusions
  19. SORTED! Brilliant, thanks. As a Defender driver I should have known the answer was in Solihull...
  20. Top marks sir! Yes, we have Sophos Central and looking back it has indeed helpfully flagged GCX_SvcApp.exe as a PUA. I've just whitelisted and restored it. So far, still getting the error though
  21. Nope, not as far as I can see
  22. Yup, still waiting. Got a call ref rather than an actual tech, unfortunately...
  23. Both Groupcall services are running...
  24. I'm probably being thicker than a whale omelette here but has anyone ever seen this error and got a fix?
  25. Indeed, given its crucial role - it's not just any old site
