Classroom Audio ... How do you do it?

As title really! We have a number of aging NUVO in-wall amplifiers which are now over 10 years old (!!!). Over the past 5ish years we have found buying replacement in-wall amps almost impossible and are now looking for alternatives. How are you lot doing it?

 

I have considered active speakers (costly), soundbars, amps and everything in between. Does anyone else have anything that fits the bill and works well for them ? Must be under £100.

They fill the classroom and corridor when some teachers play sound!

 

We buy the remote too so the teachers dont have to stand on desk etc to reach the speakers to change volume.

I still buy wall amps as they for me are the neatest when installed. We did have a similar problem with the nuvo amps getting on too and the replacements being expensive, so we started buying these Wall Plate Stereo Audio Power Amplifier with Bluetooth - PRO SIGNAL | CPC they don't look spectacular by any means, but a year on and the few we've installed have been fine, plus some staff loved the bluetooth feature. Price has gone up a little since I last bought a batch, but still reasonable.

 

Plus side is you can either keep your existing speakers or choose any pair of passive speakers you desire and it'll come in around £80exVAT.

We use the built in speakers in the LCD screens. Makes it much simpler.

I just shove half-decent speakers on desks, or at a push I wall mount them. I used to love Creative T20s when they were available. Cheap, simple, sound good. Yes, the teachers knock them on the floor every couple of days while making room for the fourth empty cup of tea...
