just realized corsair released these finally MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance RGB | Cooler Master

saves money from a controller and can be controlled from the mobo

Nope, can't really use one with two GPUs and no room,

 

Most cases that support vertical GPU mounting have pcie risers that come with them

How can you focus on a game with that much lighting?! The only thing left on my desk that illuminates is my mouse and keyboard, and I've got those turned down to minimum.

 

You could spend more money on custom watercooling instead of lighting! Sort it out!

Watercooling scares me, plus i upgrade so often it will be more of a pain and expensive.

 

All that RGB only comes around £100 more than normal i'd say for the RGB models over the normal ones.

Played Diablo 3 last night for first time in awhile (To try out new class)

 

Not realising that it must have a plugin for the keyboard, everything i level the lights go mad, and the key bindings for the moves light up and switch off to do with the cooldowns of the move!

Yepp, also my Razer Deathadder does it with Overwatch, when i cycle through the heroes it changes colour in reference to the selected hero

Watercooling is a piece of cake, once you set it up correctly.

If you get the correct fittings, you can replace / remove components (radiators / pumps) without leaking any water, or drain your entire system without touching anything but a pipe cap.

This also means you can replace hardware within the case without removing every little thing and starting over.

Plus... illuminated water > rgb

 

Running a Razer BW Ultimate here, love the response of mechanical keys

 

Edit: Saying that, i need to buy a new rig and do the watercooling with acrylic piping (takes a bit longer but looks 100x better).... or go chrome piping everywhere.... hmmmmm lol

It require's 3 8 pin power connectors 3!!!!! My 2 1080's require 2 between them, if i were to get 2 of these i would need 6 8 pin connects which means 3 power cables and a hell of a lot of cable management!

Although a good (I hope) gaming spec I was actually after low noise levels and longevity rather than FPS - I play MMOs, strategy games and driving games rather than FPS games and am hoping to still have a 'reasonable' machine in 5 years time:

I carried over the speakers, KB & mouse from my prvious build - not that they are special, just couldn't afford to replace threm and they work well enough as it is. Total cost a little over £3k, been a long time since I've build a machine so it took me a few hours to get it all together.

 

Completely silent when working, web browsing or Youtubing but disappointingly noisy when gaming - those GPU fans make a lot of noise!
