Hi

We have purchased a new software and want to train the staff as show to use this software. So I have installed the software on my laptop and want to make a video while on my laptop . Means I speak how to use the software by moving the mice and clicking various tabs on the application and explain how to sue the software, whatever I do on the laptop screen and that I speak, I would like to record with my voice in it.

Please let me know if there is any free software which I can to do this. Do I need a microphone to do this?

Thanks

If you're on W10, try Win + G which opens the "Game Bar" which may allow you to record (depends on your hardware). You'll need a mike of some sort for audio. If your laptop has one built in you could use that, but I suspect an external one would be much better.

Ninja'd!!!

If you want something more fancy https://obsproject.com/ may be worth a look.

I use Bandicam (https://www.bandicam.com/free-screen-recorder/) which allows you to record portions of your screen, and gives you good control over the output (saving audio as a separate file, splitting audio sources into tracks, MP4/AVI formats with adjustable bitrates...)

Free version allows you to record for 10 minutes at a time (could always stitch the videos together!) and has a Bandicam watermark on it.
