Anyone tried this on server 2016 yet?

 

Wanting to convert sims server from vmware to hyperv.

Ooh. I'd use VCentre converter. It just works.

Moving away from vmware to hyper v.

 

Looks like the vcenter converter only goes to vmware.

Is that not the right file format?

Subscribing as I need to do a VMware to Hyperv conversion myself.

I did all of mine using Disk2VHD - not the slickest but nice and simple and I could control the process.

Tried out the Microsoft Converter 3 on our sims server.

Windows runs nice, it removes the SIMS app for some reason and cancelled the shares we had.

 

Couldn't test installing sims and running it as it's almost time for people to start coming in so switched on the old VMware server.
