speckytecky Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Our current Impero 3 year support contract comes to an end in December this year. Overall we have been absolutely delighted with it. We are now looking for quotes (by PM to me please) for renewal of Impero or competitor product. 170 clients. 35 FTE staff. Mindful that budgets are about to be set there is some urgency! 2
Ex-MGSTech Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Just had my quote to renew our 3 year license, 107.38% increase in cost!!!!! 1
AlanD Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Well...there is other stuff out there...maybe not as good but cheaper and will do the job.......I think the prevent strategy has allowed these suppliers to charge what they like. 1
karldenton Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 100% consider netsupport DNA. E-safety on there is great, as is inventory and remote control just to name a few while I'm at home. @Al_NetSupport will be able to give you a price. 2
JonThompson Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 +1 for AB Tutor. You only pay for the Tutor part, clients are free. Can now get a site licence for it and it's perpetual for the version your on. 1
clockend25 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Had our Impero renewal pricing through. :pound: Trialing Senso and NetSupport at the moment. On the pricing I currently have, I can potentially license 400-500 clients (which I might need to this summer) with either of them for the price of 200 on Impero.
NB9457 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I really don't understand Impero at the moment, the software has gone very buggy and the cheek on pricing on renewal is madness, wonder if they're struggling? Seems as if they are pushing themselves away, not like they're a leader in the market as there is definitely strong and competitive competition.
clockend25 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Not particularly happy with their whole approach. Sent a long email to our new account manager detailing our struggles with it over the last couple of years and asking for some assurances going forward, as well as an idea on pricing. Heard nothing at all... Two months later I receive pricing, with a quite frankly arrogant email asking us to reply to allow them to invoice, or to supply a PO.
Mic_Impero Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Good afternoon all, I'd like to address a few concerns listed above but am conscious of forum rules etc too. We are indeed a market leader, and welcome competition in the market place, it keeps us on our toes and is healthy for everyone. We remain competitive within the space and firmly believe based on feedback from our customers that a consolidated approach using our software provides excellent value for money when schools enjoy the full suite of functionality and this ensures great return on investment. I work very closely with the renewals and account management team and would like to reassure people that the experience @clockend25 has described is the exception and should not be the expected experience. May I apologise for that and invite you to contact me directly with information so I can follow up internally, and I'll look after you here forward. Likewise, anyone with a concern of any nature is welcome to contact me directly (by PM and i'll return my details as I'm not allowed to publish them here), and I'll be happy to speak with you. Mic @ Impero 1
clockend25 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 @Mic_Impero I appreciate the offer, although at this stage I think my effort is best spent in evaluating alternatives as opposed to trying to eek out something with yourselves. I was contacted on Friday and told an 'auto-invoice' had been setup for the 1 year pricing recently quoted, and have asked that this be cancelled and explained that we won't be renewing. I have to assume this has been actioned as yet again I've had no response.
Mic_Impero Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 @clockend25 Understood, I'm genuinely sorry we've reached that position but wish you all the best with finding the most appropriate solution for your establishment. I'll speak with the team tomorrow and ensure that there isn't anything set up to come to you and then confirm this in writing by email. I will be the only person to contact you moving forward, and you're welcome to contact me back directly should you need any further assistance. Mic
keithwoods Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Not particularly happy with their whole approach. Anyone not happy with constant increase in Impero pricing?...give Netsupport a buzz. Ask for a quote for Netsupport DNA\School combination and tell them you are thinking of moving from Impero, you will be pleasantly surprised.
markberry Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 We moved to AB Tutor a few years ago. Much cheaper than any of the competitors if you buy a perpetual site license. With diminishing education budgets I can't see Impero holding on to customers.
