Woop Woop, I have permission to attend, going to stay at the Ibis near the train station, just to make my life a bit easier. Taking quite a late train into Leicester, that gets in at 22:31 but hopefully it should be nice and quiet by then.

First time going to EDIT, I might be a bit excited.

Just to let you all know, we have applied to the Information Commissioners Office to provide a speaker to talk on GDPR. Hopefully we shall be able to let you know more soon.

So apparently, no one dare go on record :p

I have managed to adjust some stuff to free up some time. Are more people having a social on Wednesday or Thursday?

As @Dos_Box said - more Thursday than Wednesday, but quite a few do both. I have booked myself in for both nights at the Premier Inn Leicester Central.

Just a reminder, but over half the places have now gone and we now have a wait list fillling up, so if you want to secure a place at the conf (full shedule to be announced shortly) then please visit our Eventbrite page here: https://edit17.eventbrite.co.uk/

It really does promise to be the best EDIT yet and will be a great day for all attendees, especially if you have never been to one before :)

Do we have an agenda please?

You have to forgive Chris' appalling typing skillz.

I shall once again be making the journey down to see you all.

Maybe this time I'll be able to devise a system to prevent @EduTech from hijacking my laptop and spamming the live feed with filth!

Looking forward to some Wednesday evening Beers! :)

Do we need a little parking ticket thing again?

(Also had the day confirmed by the assistant head in charge of such things so WOOOO EDIT PARTY FOR MATT)

Parking will be free of charge once more and more instructions on how to get your parking ticket will be posted in due course.

That was posted over a month ago....... Its well past shortly........

Definition of shortly - "in a short time; soon."

Apologies for using the correct definition of a word......

Patience young Padwan. Even BETT doesn't get its agenda finalised until about 3 weeks before the big day. Later than that sometimes. (Floor plan anyone?)

Stuff happens and changes constantly. Getting this sorted is complex even for a smaller event

Bot really a comparison. There is always something of interest at BETT.

I can't really say if I am going or not until I know what will be happening. For example It wouldn't be worth going if Microsoft discuss Office 365 or Windows 10. But if it was Azure hosted VM's then I would go.

Chill out.

I know i'm in an advanced time zone, but I don't think I'm in a time warp (cue puns and youtube clips) - I figured if the boss said that yesterday, then give the dude a day or two.

I was looking at and referring to this post ---> EG EDIT.jpg

To be honest, if I was in the UK and could free up the time, I'd go just for the socialz. You can get just as much, if not more out of the peer networking. ;)

I would love nothing more than a catchup. But we are in the process of merging multiple school networks and im running short on time :(

As a backup, I've dialled in on the streams which is good if the content is of interest, but there is no substitute for watching a drunk @ICTDirect_Dave live.
