Their prices look too good to be true...

Best UK price I can find for 8x HP compatible j4858c sfp and 8x om3 lc-lc patch is £337, Fiberstore can do me the same thing for £105 delivered from the states!

fs.com I think is the same company, and yes, used them for some LRM optics (unforunately my fibre runs are too long/too old to support). Have just run new fibre and planning to buy some SR from them. Used them after a recommend on here. Obviously be prepared to add import taxes, but even with those, much cheaper

Do you know how much import might be, just so I can make finance aware?

Looks as though it will be VAT rate, but there may also be a handling cost by the courier, so I'd reckon about £30, but I'll see if I can dig out what our charge was (though ours may have included customs duty as well as it was well over the limit for that)

Edit: £310 order, £70 EU VAT (and probably customs duty), £12 fedex advancement fee

I googled that after I posted, and yeah 20% vat, and a £6 fedex fee.

Still works out a quantifiable load cheaper :) (because load is a quantity as far as I'm concerned)

Sure does... I'm looking at about at 55% saving on any UK price even with the vat and other charges.

I have never used any optics from fs.com yet, but heard of great feedback about them. Most of their products are provided at a very low price, even cheaper than Amazon and ebay. Maybe I will buy from them next time!

Be aware you can get 8 x brand new official HP ones for £427 from a reputable supplier like Ballicom - so I would certainly avoid paying as much as £337 for compatibles.

Ok, the order is here, the SFPs all work, I've tested them connecting a switch to another switch and all is well.

My only comment is that they have some funny ideas about what 1 metre is.

The patch cables all vary wildly in length. None of them are actually a metre, some of them are 97cm, but 2 of them are only 82cm! So to anyone else reading this post wondering if they're OK, it seems so, yes, but maybe if you need 50cm order 1m if you need 1m order 1.5m!

All my optics are from fs.com. Their modules is far more cheaper and quality is also good. They built a new Seattle warehouse, the shipping is fast. And I heard last month they started provide free shipping to the US.
