Besides HP series switches, there are several 24-port optical switches with SFP+ ports, e.g. S3800-24T4S from fs.com.

I have used ubnt Unifi switches, fs SFP modules and fiber cables, which saves me a lot. Till now, I have no issue with this setup.

I hope it is not too late to answer here, I have noticed that Ubiquiti had stopped releasing EdgeSwitch series switches, and I can't find it in their website. Why?

If you are interested in PoE switches, you can have a look at the Ubiquiti Unifi switches. US-24-150W might be a ideal option for you.

A single fiber for the QVDA box can't do the same as optical transceivers connecting with fiber patch cables on either ends. FYI, compatible modules are usually much cheaper than the original ones.

Used Cisco 2960 switches as my core switch, and bought several compatible sfps and fiber cables from fs.com. The cisco 2960 costs me much money, so I have to buy the compatible sfp modules ($6 each) from fs.com. It turns out to be perfect.

I am using Ubiquiti Unifi switch as my edge switches, except for the compatibility issue with DAC cables, everything is fine. Now I use fs.com SFP+ SR optics and OM3 cables, it is prefect.

For my experience, the compatible optical transceivers that I bought from fs.com are quite compatible, you don't need to worry about the quality issue here.

I recently bought several SFPs and fiber patch cables from fs.com. Their prices are competitive, much lower ($6 each) than cdw.com. And the quality is great, too.

I rarely see the 1G DAC cables. It is advisable for you to have the SFP 1000BASE-T modules and cat5e cables or go for the SFP Fiber modules and fiber patch cables. Both of the solutions are cheap nowadays.

Ubiquiti networks offer a great service for wireless networks. Their switches and APs are quite reliable, but remember not to use the DACs in the switches (compatibility issue). You should stick to the SFP modules and patch cables, buy the customized SFP modules from fs.com is a wise choice.

For home use, Ubnt AP is good. But you can compare the price and performances with other brand like Cisco, netgear and D-link.

I have consulted with Ubiquiti rep about the compatibility issue of ES-16-XG switches and SFP+ DAC cables, they are nice but can't solve my problem. So in the end, I bought several cheap compatible DACs from fs.com to check the problem. Fortunately, it ends well.

Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series may be the one for you. WS-C3850-24XS is one of the Cisco Catalyst 3850 model. It has 24 SFP+ ports, but it is quite expensive.

Ubiquit has released a support solution about what SFP/SFP+ optics can be used in their switches. Both their original and other third party modules are tested to work fine in their devices. Used the fiberstore sfps in my unifi switch, and have no problem at all.

Indeed the Unifi and Edge switches are very cheap, but they cannot offer you multiple ports and stuck at only 10GbE.

I have never used any optics from fs.com yet, but heard of great feedback about them. Most of their products are provided at a very low price, even cheaper than Amazon and ebay. Maybe I will buy from them next time!

To avoid the problems like this, I think you should consult with your vendor in advance about the compatible issue. Or look into their support https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/212561258-UniFi-Which-SFPs-can-I-use-with-UniFi-switch to find the most reliable 3rd party vendors.
