NB9457 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I'd stick with what you have, you'd be spending more money for little benefit. Laptops are good, but the lifespan is much shorter and upgrades are minimal if they are any, so instead of a new GPU every couple of years and a PC rebuild every 5-6, it's £1k plus on a laptop in about 3 years. Also with laptops, opt for the warranty, may seem a little pricey, but again, if they go wrong it's big money for parts and repairs!
DalekSec Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Looked at minimum specs for the Occulus, needs at least a 960 (not 960m), can work on a 1050ti though! I think i'm gonna to leave the laptop option and go down the downsizing route in a few months. The Prices of DDR4 RAM at the moment are stupid! I'll just have to lug around my tower a few times (Maybe if i 'accidentally' break it while moving i can buy a new one?) Thanks for all the help and advice i'll keep it in mind
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I'd suggest that a occulus isn't really ideal for a laptop full stop. It's a lot of kit to lug around. I use mine just for some casual gaming on the go. Stellaris, total war, Skyrim etc. Perfect for that
