Popular Post mattstevenson2005 Posted February 10, 2017 Popular Post Posted February 10, 2017 Hi All Just thought I would post after someone found the manufacturer of the note readers last year that we have found the manufacturer of the coin mechanisms and their service centre will upgrade the firmware for £15. Cunninghams want to charge £395 to do the same job. You do have to post your coin mechanism to them but they do a very fast turn around! Sales Dept Micro Electronic Services Ltd Unit 3 Admiralty Way Camberley Surrey GU15 3DT Tel: (01276) 36349 Fax: (01276) 36224 My contact there is Chris and is extreamly helpful! Hope this helps others out! Matt 7
KibosJ Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Might be something worth doing during the holidays. CRBs charges are extortion! Thanks

He even said they used to work with Cunninghams! Can we promote this please! So no schools get scammed by Cunninghams! Edited March 14, 2017 by Wubbalubbadub

deano3693 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Already payed cunninghams for the £1 upgrade - Does he do the £10 upgrade as well which will be required in the coming weeks? Dean.
BFCIT Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 hi guys, do we know if this is available for any other catering suppliers? We are with Emos-Infineer.
Wubbalubbadub Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 hi guys, do we know if this is available for any other catering suppliers? We are with Emos-Infineer. Give the guy a call. If you tell him what brand you have, he can probably tell you. The only thing is, you have to let them pickup the item. So if you have limited revals, you may need to send one of at a time! 1
Achandler Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 The notes are done by Innovative Technology in Oldham. About £20 for the firmware update or you can buy a cable and try it yourself.

bknaggs Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 This thread is a happy find. For those of you who have sent your coin mechanism to Micro Electronic how long was it away for? Because we've only got one I'm wondering if it is something we can pencil in for half term safely in the knowledge the reval machine will be working again when everyone is back in.
IanMurphy Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 MES works on a weekly turnaround schedule. I'm sure that we can fit you in on that schedule without any problems. (especially for 1 mech) 1
FragglePete Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 (edited) Just taken a look in side our cashbox and our coin loader comes from a different company; MEI (MEI - Home) not MES - I'll see if they offer such a service. (...and part of their website is being blocked due to it being compromised!) Pete Edited May 9, 2017 by FragglePete
IanMurphy Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 MES didn't make any of them we are not manufacturers, we are, however, a service center for manufacturers. You won't be able to find MEI, as they merged with several other manufacturers a couple of years ago, and created CPI. 1

Thanks Pete
IanMurphy Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Yes those are upgradeable to the new £1. Just send them in to our address (below), along with your contact details, and return address. Repairs Micro Electronic Services Ltd Unit 3 Admiralty Way Camberley Surrey GU15 3DT

FragglePete Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) Just had our Coin Mech unit returned from MES - all working nicely thank you very much! Total cost with carriage was £33.18 (including a CC surcharge fee), and it cost me ~£8 to send it to them via UPS, so just over £40; job done. Turn around was about a week, so worth planning when you do it. I ended up taking money manually in the canteen and logging it directly on Impact while our machine was out of action.
