"Pars .net is not working" - what a start to the most important day of the year - my birthday, turns out TASC in all their wisdom forgot that the 29/2 is an actual day every 4 years, so they didn't code it in to the software.

Well done, thanks for the headache.

Anyone with this problem, click continue on the error message that comes up and go to attendance for your registers.

Yes, it's a stupid error, but they had a fix and temporary workaround available an hour after we reported the problem.

edit: patch removed, the method below is recommended if you can access System Management in PARS

Workaround: Alternatively you can turn off this preference as a temporary fix:

System Management -> Configure Preferences -> Show reminders for missing grades on Diary screen.

So when do you normally celebrate your birthday? or do you insist that your only (actual age/4) years old?

Hi Joanne

We havent had any issues in the past with Leap Year and you could continue to use PARS if you clicked on 'continue' when asked via the pop up on screen. Didnt think the problem would arise and regretably it did however it was fixed within the hour and we contacted as many schools as we could within that time to advise however many schools contacted us to check.

I think its fair to say that the fact that it was fixed within the hour was a credit to our support team although it would of course have been better if it didnt happen at all.

Following on from another post - we dont have specific reps for areas and we dont employ any old 'telesales' to work for TASC Software. If there are any issues please contact us asap and you will be transferred straight to one of our support.

Yes you released a patch within an hour that fixed one problem. But the patch broke something else and you released another one to fix the previous one. Sounds like something from Microsoft ;-)
