I've just logged in to see Vista with SP1 now available for download for TechNet subscribers.

Be aware installing SP1 removes GPMC if it's installed.

I'll start to DL now, [ just to annoy the kids in the room at the moment who are all using the internet - time to get my IP throttler out..... ]

 

1.13 GB download - HA HA HA HA - I must be getting old, OS, SP, and general software sizes are just a joke at the moment....

Definitely a reason to backup before applying Vista SP1

I installed SP1 from the technet download last night. Took less than 30 minutes and went extremely well. Not quite sure what it has done- some subjectivism tells me that it has made the system faster...not sure though.

 

Not worried about that though. Have an HND exam to take today (hopefully), so more nervous about that than anything Vista throws at me

Interesting mine took almost an hour and I have all the updates etc, was it x86 or x64 may I ask?
