Updating Servers

Hi All,

 

We have a virtual DC which is running 2012r2, it has decided it no longer wants to update from Windows update

Anyone got any advice, we have tried the troubleshooter and deleting the software distribution folder.

Try this from CMD prompt

sfc /scannow

 

Is the DC pointing to a WSUS server at all??

 

Does the DC have more than one connected NIC??

The SFC / Scannow completes and doesnt report any errors

 

It is pointing to a WSUS server and it only has one NIC

Following this thread. All my 2012 hyper v servers won't update direct from Microsoft never mind wsus !

When I've had this problem I found that if I logged on as a different user it worked and then when I logged back on as the original user after doing all the updates it then worked!

 

All the other 'fixes' didnt work for us, this was the only way I could get them to work.
