Group Policy Software Installs

Would a large number of Software Install GPO's (office, flash, shockwave, adobe reader to name a few) have an adverse affect on the time it takes GP to process after the software has been installed?

 

I suspect that the answer is no...

From my experience no..

 

BUT, we have a few MSI GPO's which run computer startup scripts (eg, apost-install clean up/whatever) which always run regardless. So either we have to remember to un-link the GPO or do some stuff in the script which checks to see if a flag exists or not so it doesnt run the script.
