kennysarmy Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 We have the same problem here, but I haven't had time to look into it in any detail. Just CTRL+ALT+DEL, sign out and sign in works, but it still takes a while... We are seeing this on Win11 24H2 - how about yourself?
Koldov Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 (edited) No, we're still on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC! So, maybe our issue doesn't have anything in common... I only replied because it's a post in the Windows 10 thread. Edited March 18, 2025 by Koldov
mavhc Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 What classroom monitoring tools do you have installed?
thimon Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 What classroom monitoring tools do you have installed? You thinking Impero? I know it used to cause this issue. Netconsent caused similar issues for us, so I removed it.
timbo343 Posted March 18, 2025 Author Posted March 18, 2025 Black screen with white cursor is usually an issue with Graphics drivers. We went through the headache of Impero years ago which they patched i think in their display / screen properties / software (blank screen / take control, etc). We replicated the issue as soon as impero was installed - no issues at all when impero was not installed - we were running Windows 10 LTSC but forget which version, it would have been either 1609 or 1809 (LTSC2019). I wonder of the Impero Ed Pro display / screen properities / software don't work well with Windows 11? 1
mikes Posted March 25, 2025 Posted March 25, 2025 We are having this with Windows 11 24H2 - but interestingly we never had it at all with Windows 10 - using Impero on them all - we bought some new PC's, imaged them fresh with Win 11 and 1 out of 20 gets this black screen issue. Up to date GPU drivers (AMD Ryzen onboard GPU) but will double check it
