Gronwold Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Hi, Wanted to check others for their views. We have recently bought into the SIMS teacher app, and so far seems to be working fine. However, The app is regularly asking us to log in through Office 365 (at least once a day). Do other schools find that they have to log into Office 365 regularly to access the app, or is it a one off and further access is through the four digit pin on the app? (we do ensure that the 'keep signed in' checkbox is ticked each time we sign in!) Many thanks.
PhilNeal Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 It is by design. The O365 lasts for 12 hours. There is sensitive data on the tablet and this was one of the protections that we have implemented 1
sonic1485 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Our teaching staff log in with Gmail and the sessiosn seems to last from until another member of staff signs in from what I understand
RLR Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 We use google to sign-in and I think the teachers have to do it once a day unless they force close the app. Then they have to do it again.
Jehanzeb Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Exactly as above. If the app session is running at the background on the iPad it will only require PIN Code but if it gets closed then it will ask them to re-login. Kindest regards J.
