Indoor enclosure for AP

Hello all,

 

We wish to put an AP into our sports hall. The official enclosure for our access point model is ~£500 which seems like a lot of money.

 

Do you think it would be better sense to go for something like this:

 

STI 9601 - 210x70mm Vandal Cage for Smoke, Fire and CO Detectors

 

What do you guys do?

I avoided putting them in anything metal, in the past I have used this type of thing instead.

 

 

Now i used outdoor AP's in the sports hall.

And would one of those be able to take the odd basketball hit?

Think so. We used to have them covering all our old 3Com APs here and they were pretty robust.
