Room Seating Plan App or Software?

Does any one know if you can get any thing like a Room Seating Plan App or Software?

 

so the teachers could create there seating plans for each lesson and sort out where each student will sit.

 

Is there any thing out there for this sort of thing? One of the teachers was asking for it.

There is this SchoolLook Free Education Software - SchoolLook Education Software . I haven't had a chance to install it yet so I can't give you any opinion.

Im not sure how our school did it but they have set something up in SIMS.

 

If you have SIMS its worth a look.

We use MINT Class here - MintClass - Classroom seating planner - Also shows information such as grades/SEN, and helpful for cover teachers as well.

I made ours in Visio.

It's also a feature of PARS by Tasc Software which has many other advantages too. If you are in the market for a tool to add functionality to SIMS then it's worth a look.

We've recently started to use https://www.classcharts.com

 

Linked to MIS and shows data such as SEN, PP as well dynamically changing seating plans based on ability and behavioural incidents.

I use Classcharts. Too tight to stump up for the MIS link so upload my own CSVs. I saw Mint at BETT last year and thought it looked more polished but even more expensive.

We use mint class, but luckily it comes out of slt budget and not ours. Pretty costly given I recon less than 1 in 5 staff use it

We are another happy Classcharts user, although I would point out the biggest benefit is the behaviour management side and not just the seating plans.

Worth checking the MIS. SchoolBase has just released a seating plan system.
