remove right click on start menu?

Has any one been able to remove right click on the start menu? ive tried turning off context menus on the start menu + task bar to no avail? is this possible or not ive disabled all the control panel options so its not a biggy just annoying.

This may help you but it will disable for all within q gpo and stop the right click button for all logins

hmm that doesnt exist in my group policies, that looks more like an XP config

Not sure whether they appear by default on a 2012r2 DC so you may need to download here and import the w10 admx in to group policy or you could use RSAT on a windows 10 machine.

yep, imported the group polices already... there's no mention for it in the win10 reference startmenu

yep ive tried that ages ago.. that restricts the default context menu on all file explorers however it does not stop the right click on the menu icon at the bottom (taskbar start button)..

Ok maybe to tested something out is to create a blank OU and avoid it being in other containers just make sure that your default domain policy is enabled and create a blank GP with this enabled on your test container and move the pc into it.

 

Create a dummy user on it own and restrict it for this user

 

 

Are you testing it on a computer policy or user policy

 

This way you will know if any policies are overriding other policy which your trying to set
