Looking replace a VGA line in a main hall Audio Visual setup and considered using CAT5.

Total distance between PC and Projector would be 30m and considered using Techconnect VGATP adapter

Anyone got any experience or suggestions

Our main hall has 2 Startech adapters - one is VGA to CAt5e, the other HDMI - never had any issues with them.

We have just the VGA adapters. works a treat.

We stick one adapter at the back of the hall to run a laptop for performances etc and the other one sits on the stage to the Projector.

We have a Science Room with Island Benching. We needed a 15m run to the IWB. VGA over Cat5 works OK. Used Cheap Lindy converters. We get a little interference. Enough where one Teacher moans but the other 3 who use the room don't notice.

We use Kramer gear for our multi projector setup - imho they're great! not cheap though...

We use Kramer stuff also. Have multiple inputs in to the switcher, then a HDMI over cat5 kit to connect to the projector/TVs. The Kramer kit is expensive, but then they do have a 7 year warranty!

Blustream is also good. We use that at work only cos i use it on private jobs and have direct contact with some of the heads there
