Joanne Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I saw a pikachu on my radar yesterday shortly after catching this... Level 21 ATM. Got loads of pokeballs from visiting friends and helping friends move house.
FN-GM Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Does it really matter what team you join? I have had a look on the internet and to me it just looks like they are the same apart from the mascot.
Garacesh Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 Does it really matter what team you join? I have had a look on the internet and to me it just looks like they are the same apart from the mascot. Well, kinda. Gameplay-wise, no. It just decides what team owns the gym you take. However.. Last time I saw stats, about 52% of players are Mystic. 12% are Instinct. The remaining 32% are Valor. This is mostly because of the colour system (Most people favour blue over red and yellow, and those that don't tend to favour red) and the fact that Mystic is always the middle team (centre-stage effect)
6Foot2 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Link: Mapped Pokémon sightings I just want a bloody charmander.... I'm egg hatching like mad, but not getting one. Using Pokecrew to find sightings of Charmander: Note: These are REPORTED sightings by other players of Pokémon: GO, NOT a Pokémon deployment map as supplied by Niantic, Inc.
Joanne Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Hahahah! A charizard was sighted over a week ago around the corner... 😏 On a seperate note, did this today to go with my pikachu teapot...
DanTheLacky Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Took the kids to a new park earlier, checked Pokemon just before we left (wish I had earlier) 2 ponyta's, machop, bell sprout, oddish, tentacool and an ivysaur... Was also a hitmonlee on the radar but I didn't see that. I know most of them aren't amazingly rare but there was no rubbish mons in site and to see so much uncommon stuff so close together with no pidgeys was refreshing. Taking my daughter and one of my friends kids Thursday so might whip out the phone earlier this time haha
Garacesh Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 To be honest, those are all reasonably rare depending on your location. I get a fair few Oddish and Bellsprout round here but not too many. Probably 1 in 20?
CAM Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I need a lucky egg. Got too many Pidgies to evolve! And someone has filled the local gym with low level Mr Mimes.
DJ-1701 Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I'm sorry for the silly question, but is this game available in SEA region? I want to join this game with international friends South East Asia? No idea officially. They rolled it out to Japan mid-last month, so I would hope sometime soon™.
JJonas Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 According to one fan, the Incense was most effective in isolated, empty spaces. To further prove his point, he put together a video on YouTube to better explain his theory. In the video, he stated that using an Incense in the wild, meaning away from the city life (no roads, no PokeStops, no Gyms etc.) is much better than using an Incense in the city.

DanTheLacky Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 To be honest, those are all reasonably rare depending on your location. I get a fair few Oddish and Bellsprout round here but not too many. Probably 1 in 20? I don't see hardly any oddish or bell sprout at all, I have a gloom I evolved but nothing higher in the bell sprout evolution chain. I need a lucky egg. Got too many Pidgies to evolve! And someone has filled the local gym with low level Mr Mimes. I noticed a me mime on my near by list this morning, first one I have seen. Whilst walking through town it appeared, literally as j went to click on it, bloody thing disappeared again I have heard regionals are pretty common in America and Asia. Anyone else seen many mime's? Have they fixed the capture rates as well? My poke balls seem far more effective than previously, even orange and red captures with a razz and normal poke all seem fairly easy... *touch wood*
arwen Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I think they have fixed the capture rate. Seems to work better now that if you are more accurate then it catches. Caught two Mr Mines yesterday. First time seeing them at all!
DanTheLacky Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Everything seems to be running a lot more smoothly at the moment I most say.
Joanne Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I wonder if Mr Mime was released yesterday... I saw and caught one too. They keep popping up on my radar now
DanTheLacky Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Coincidence? Maybe they changed spawn rate, Taurus is everywhere in us apparently
CAM Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 2016. 8. 22 Pokémon GO updated to version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS Trainers, Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team. •Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle. •We are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokémon GO. •Minor bot fixes The Pokémon GO team This is when I realise I've been stuffing a crap Pokémon full of Soylent Gr-I mean candy. 1
DanTheLacky Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I hope they don't become diabetic with all that candy they are eating
AlfaTech Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 •Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle. Ideal, an in-game IV calculator/Judge! It definitely needed something like this to weed out all the weak 'mon and focus on the strong ones. Now I realise that all my eeveeloutions are totally pants!
DanTheLacky Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Is that what it is? That's good was doing all mine manually in the poke assistant website, most of my evolutions are crap except my 93.8% arcanine Going to go check it out now.
