Whenever i seem to venture out of my house and out of wifi, it seems to crash, went out three times yesterday and every time I couldn't load the game.

Had fun playing it over the weekend. Bumped into a couple of friends who were "out for a jog" (and happened to have the game open on their phones).

 

There's a gym at a pub at the end of my street and it's quite funny seeing people stand outside on their smartphones at all hours

I checked for this when I installed it, mine has nothing more than Camera, Networks and GPS. Wouldn't have shared the source if it wasn't clean. If you got the .apk from apkmirror you should be fine.

Ran into a group on Saturday night, they weren't too happy about me taking one of the local gyms. None of them could beat a cp 226 pidgeotto.. can't even get close to the current owners of the local gyms now, they're all running upwards of 500cp.

I have wanted this for a while now but never trusted any 3rd party resources.

 

I wiped my old OPO, activated a "junk" GMail account, and tested it on that first, just to make sure permissions were OK.

 

I put a CP97 Horsea in a gym Saturday night (my CP100+ Eevee and Pidgeotto were at 1hp from levelling the gym up to L3), by the time I woke up on Sunday morning it was at 1HP and no longer there. Boo!

It's a big annoyance that Pokémon don't regenerate HP passively.

Yeah, I need to go on a wander, get some stronger stuff. Did 10k on Saturday, but the highest single thing I found was a 170 Eevee

 

I've started to recognise more of the names in my area now as more people I went to school with start downloading it, they own pretty much everything. All same team though, so Go Team Instinct I suppose!

Power them up! Go to pokemon screen and you can choose to power up. It uses 'candies' that you get when you catch pokemon. I've caught a TON of pidgeys, so I had loads of candies to use.

I've been loving it so far just wish I had more time to play it Glad that even in a small town where I live it has things like Gyms and Pokestops! I was surprised how many people play it already.

 

My local pub is a Gym also which is *AWESOME*, beer and pokemon

Power them up! Go to pokemon screen and you can choose to power up. It uses 'candies' that you get when you catch pokemon. I've caught a TON of pidgeys, so I had loads of candies to use.

 

I have done My Pigdgeotto is now sitting at around 260, iirc, but I'm saving candies to evolve it further.

I tested Saturday night, when you level up a pokémon, its costs to power up do not increase (that is to say, Pidgey was 600 dust, 1 candy, and so was Pidgeotto). I confirmed this by also evolving a Weedle into a Kakuna. So don't think you have to buff your 'mons up before evolving them, it doesn't appear to make a difference. (Further tests are required to graph the average CP increases before and after evolving)

 

ALSO.. A CP10 Pidgey 600 dust and 1 candy to power up, too. So the cost to power up doesn't increase with the CP of the pokémon, either. It appears to only increase with each use.

If you have a lot of Weedles around (or Pidgeys) they are super cheap to evolve (12? candies). So they are good for grinding XP with (especially with a lucky egg buff).

I'd say keep the Weedle. Pokemon get a huge buff to their CP when they evolve. Plus, the Weedle is higher CP (remember, they cost the same to upgrade evolved or not), so it'll be a lot more worthwhile to transfer the Kakuna and evolve the Weedle.

Yeah, I know how it all works, had a Pidgeotto within an hour or so of starting, just not wasting candies on powering up weak ones.

 

I only power up after they evolve, and only evolve if they're further along the CP bar than 50%

ive caught a charmander and thats it cant find any poi in range on the screen and it kills battery life. Im hoping once it officially out in the uk there may be some pokestops within walking distance of somewhere lol
