Help with installation command for Algodoo in MDT

What is the correct installation command to ensure Algodoo will install without any user intervention?

 

I have tried \\server\software\algodoo\algodoo_2_1_0-Win32.exe /qn /s /norestart but it sits waiting for Run, etc.

Have you seen ths software before called Universal Silent Switch Finder. Sometimes it can help :-)

Have you tried installing it and copying the folder from Program Files to another machine/ the network and see if it will run anyway? If you get lucky you could just script a copy (or run it from the network).

 

Otherwise try:

 

\\server\software\algodoo\algodoo_2_1_0-Win32.exe /push pineapple/shake the tree/push pineapple/grind coffee/To the left/to the right/jump up and down/to the knees/Come and dance every night/sing with a hula melody

Just tried this (more interesting than trying to work out why I can't get some old monitors to use DVI) and it seems to work. There are a load of dlls in the folder, so it looks as if the install is fairly "self contained".

Yes, this has worked for me too. I've copied it to a \\server\apps and shared the shortcut to the Start Menu and all working okay. Thanks

Hi All,

 

This is an INNO setup file, and the install works with the following command:

 

Algodoo_2_1_0-Win32.exe /SP- /VERYSILENT /NORESTART /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /Group="Video Software"

Just tried the copy all files to the network idea. 2 issues: 1. Clicking New File is supposed to give a list of "palettes", but it's empty, 2. it's creating a load of files in My Documents, ideas?

Turns out if you hide the files, it hides them in the UI too. Still not solved problem 2

All the machines I have to hand haven't got GFX that will run the program! Is there a "settings" option that writes to the config.cfg inthe folder?

Had a look and can't see any way to change the "Documents" behaviour. We don't use it, so it's not been a problem here!

while those worked for me, I found that Algodoo_2_1_0-Win32.exe -silent worked just as well. Am I missing something?
