Minecraft Mobile Server for Students

I have a group of students over the summer want a minecraft Mobile Server setup. How would I go around this? What software would I need to install. Any firewall settings? Its only going to internal.

Realistically if it's internal only you shouldn't need to do anything with your firewall (if it's an edge firewall, anyhow) as traffic won't be going through it.

I should imagine you just need to fire up a server. It shouldn't need too high a spec, but make sure you give it a good chunk of RAM.

Doesn't it need to go through a web filter to do the signon or something - what would that need?

OK. Is there any software for the server to run. I've heard of a few but don't know if they are good

They only need to be run for a few weeks in the summer holidays.

I'm afraid I don't have any knowledge of the mobile edition stuff. Never touched it really!

I've heard about Pocket Mine and nukkit. I think ones php and the other java.
