[android] Budget Android Phone under £60

Hi all,

 

After my Nokia Windows phone died in the middle of a 2 year contract, I am looking for a budget android phone to last till March next year. As I am on a tight budget I will be using Amazon vouchers I have received so wont be able to go above £60.

 

Has anyone got any recommendations? I have looked at the Doogee X5 and Padgene S9?

 

Any reviews or recommendations would be appreciated.

I would be seriously wary of what sounds like a Chinese knockoff.

If you get it used, it just about comes under budget. I'd prefer one of those personally. Or, if you're willing to put aside the fact that you've had one fail, another Nokia WinPhone?

I like the look of the Moto. I am trying to avoid another Nokia/Windows phone as I wasn't very impressed by it, had nothing but trouble. Thanks for the recommendations.

I had a Doogee a while back as a stand-in. It was ok but nothing exciting. I've also had a couple of Chinese phones over the years and none of them has really given me any issues.

For the price you often get more bang for your buck but don't expect all the new bells and whistles with them often using the same SOC setups across many brands. You will get Bluetooth 2.0 and only 2.4 wifi but will do as a cheap Android device.
