MkII Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Does anyone know if the OP3 has powered OTG? I have a Seek Thermal XR camera that needs it. Works fine on my OP1. I assume the OP3 charges on any standard charger as well as the Dash charger?
Arthur Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I assume the OP3 charges on any standard charger as well as the Dash charger? Any Type-C cable or charger will be fine, although without the OnePlus Dash Charger you won't be able to charge it as fast. By the way, if you ever need to buy a USB Type-A to Type-C cable be careful which ones you buy. There are quite a lot that may damage your phone... https://plus.google.com/collection/s0Inv 1
synaesthesia Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Well, I think this thing goes down as the best phone I've ever owned; quite likely the best I've ever used too. The thing is awesome. 2
FN-GM Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Well, I think this thing goes down as the best phone I've ever owned; quite likely the best I've ever used too. The thing is awesome. The shipping service sucks though!
Arthur Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 The thing is awesome. Will you say the same thing in 6-9 months time when OnePlus still hasn't released Android 7.0?
synaesthesia Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Mine was very fast once they sorted the supply & demand problems out.
FN-GM Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Will you say the same thing in 6-9 months time when OnePlus still hasn't released Android 7.0? Laods are guilty of this and it is annoying. The Nexus Tab 9 still runs Android 5.
Arthur Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Loads are guilty of this and it is annoying. True, but you would expect devices that are running a version of Android that's fairly close to stock (like OnePlus smartphones) to receive timely updates. The Nexus Tab 9 still runs Android 5. The Nexus 9 runs 6.0.1. https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#volantisg I used to have one myself.
FN-GM Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 True, but you would expect devices that are running a version of Android that's fairly close to stock (like OnePlus smartphones) to receive timely updates. 100% agree The Nexus 9 runs 6.0.1. https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#volantisg I used to have one myself. Google should update this page then - https://www.google.co.uk/nexus/9/
Gadget6660 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 The bands are important as the one+ 1 didn't support all UK 4G bands (LTE) Explained here 4G frequencies - Which UK networks will my phone work on? so the one+ 3 needs to be the global model as this supports uk bands OnePlus 3 - Full phone specifications
denzal2k4 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 It's arrived, it's pretty good, need to get this sRGB fix sorted though everything looks a bit cartoony at the moment, it feels so light as well .
abillybob Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 My girlfriends OnePlus X is still running Android 5.1.1... No Marshmallow update yet and that's a new phone!
FN-GM Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) My girlfriends OnePlus X is still running Android 5.1.1... No Marshmallow update yet and that's a new phone! As the OnePlus X is a budget phone I didn't think they where going to update it? They should though! Edited July 3, 2016 by FN-GM

denzal2k4 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 (edited) how was the fix applied, is it in OxygenOS 3.1.2? EDIT: I saw online somewhere you had to go into developer options and turn it on and I don't have the option... Edited July 4, 2016 by denzal2k4

abillybob Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 As the OnePlus X is a budget phone I didn't think they where going to update it? They should though! Not what I read. Apparently they where going to update it in the 2nd quarter of this year but the date keeps getting pushed back The good thing is that Cyanogenmod have now officially supported the OnePlus X with the latest version of Android although my girlfriend is worried about changing her phone "Just in case it breaks".
denzal2k4 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Plz brah, I know that, I mean sRGB mode isn't in developer option, side note in a similar vein, you all know about the bit when you multiple tap the android version and it does a funky thing I assume?

The problem with doing that is online banking and android pay stops working.
synaesthesia Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 It's in oxygen OS 3.1.4 which you may not have had released yet.
Garacesh Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Plz brah, I know that, I mean sRGB mode isn't in developer option Whoops. My bad
Arthur Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I saw online somewhere you had to go into developer options and turn it on and I don't have the option... Update to Oxygen OS 3.2.0 first. levans Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Update to Oxygen OS 3.2.0 first. OnePlus begins rolling out Oxygen OS 3.2.0 for OP3 with sRGB display mode, improved RAM management, and more So this phone gets better?! I got it yesterday and it's unreal. Benchmarking blew away my colleagues S6, and would put the S7 through its paces. For £309 brand new it's also a great financial decision personally. Love it. 1
KoolTech Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I better get mine now then OnePlus 3 price hike for UK confirmed | TechRadar
