Hello,

All my users are seeing the server share capacity (used/free space) instead of their Home Drive quota that has been allocated to them.

This is making it very hard for them to manage their storage.

Any idea how I can get this to work?

Thanks!

You need to assign Ownership of each folder (home area) within the share. This is pretty easy using a tool called Chown which is available for Windows. Are you using FSRM quotas?

It seems like some users have ownership and some do not. For example, I am the owner of my Home folder but I still see the entire disk size. Is there maybe another method?

Yes I am using FSRM for the quotas.

Thank you

I migrated my home area across to a new server 18 months or so ago, didn't have to do anything fancy with the root share for their home areas. Just made sure that the Owner of the root was a domain admin, and each folder was Owned by the respective user. I also made sure that Ownership was pushed down to sub-folders, which doesn't necessarily happen by default.

Thanks for the info. Tried this with a user but no luck..
