Firmware upgrade for Cisco Aironet 1131AG AP

I'm trying to re-utilise an old Cisco access point, however I need to upgrade the firmware to support WPA2.

 

I've tried getting the new firmware from the Cisco site, but seem to be hitting a brick wall. Can anyone point me in the right direction for downloading this?

Think you will struggle as you have to have a valid Cisco support contract to download firmware.

 

You could try and hit up a friendly supplier, who has a partner contract, and ask them nicely...

Suppliers have been stripped of partnership status for supplying firmware to unsupported devices.

The short version is "if you can find a security vulnerability in the version of the firmware you're running, Cisco usually provide a firmware version that fixes it". I've used this in the past and simply supplied serial number and the URL of the vulnerability.

Customers should have the product serial number available and be prepared to provide the URL of this advisory as evidence of entitlement to a free upgrade.
