Try being a D.Va main, i only like the scavenger skin =/

 

Some of the lower-tear skins actually look pretty good on D.Va, but I have to admit, scavenger skin best skin. Not a fan of her lunar new year skin though. June Bug/B.Va are pretty rubbish though.

Was playing 3v3 yesterday (for boxes) and D'Va was bugged out every game! (good thing as it was mainly on the other team) Once her mech broke and she jumped out she fell out the map each time!

 

CTF Is quite fun, but confusing as the chinese map is now slightly different

Meh, the recolours are ok, but i want something unique to the character. Luna skin was a let down sadly =(

OH lord, glad that didnt happen to me. And i hope they keep the CTF mode, its jolly good fun!

Same! I was playing as the Swedish dude (can't spell name)

 

Easiest game mode's i've ever played! I sat with my turret at the back casually eating a pizza! (IRL) and got POTG :p

...... dont give me ideas now ;) Torj + Symet + Rien + Bastion = Ultra mega "not getting our flag" team =P

I love how this thread is still called Overwatch/Battleborn, but Battleborn is ded gaem

poor battleborn =( is a good game though! luckly still an active player base, just not that big.....

BBC have run an article about the update, which, while feeling like "struggling for actual news", gives a bit of insight into the background of some of the new skins.

Lunar New Year makeover for online game Overwatch - BBC News

 

Zenyatta, Reinhardt, Roadhog and Winston's skins are based upon a Chinese legend 'about a legendary pilgrimage of a Buddhist monk and his three disciples', Journey to the West.

 

I did know about Sun Wukong already, but I admit that's only because he's a hero in DOTA 2 now (dubbed Monkey King)

 

Apparently Mei got made a bit thinner too and people are furious (everybody seems obsessed with the idea that Mei is thick 'thicc', even though in official Blizzard art she's not a large woman at all). Blizzard have confirmed/damage controlled (delete as appropriate) that it's a bug.

I've just started to play again with a group of my mates. I've suddenly taken to playing Lucio all the time and I'm really enjoying it! Got a POTG last night with him and I only get PsOTG once in a blue moon with any character!

anyone up for making a 6 man team to play on a regular basis, to build rank and get out of ELO Hell? if you feel that you are stuck in it? like me...

Haven't played a lot of Overwatch much recently. Would enjoy being part of a proper team.

I prefer to use TeamSpeak. I find its UI much simpler. Discord has too many UI elements and it's a pain to use if you try to have multiple servers bookmarked. I'll never understand its popularity.

I feel like that's the only thing Discord has going for it.. But I know people who host their own TeamSpeak's, so getting hold of a server isn't an issue :p

Edit: Actually, I'll admit, Discord picking up what games people are playing is a pretty useful feature.

 

I dunno, the UI is just too noisy and not straightforward. TeamSpeak doesn't have all of that. The emphasis is on voice chat, there's a list of who is connected and what lobby they're sat in, and that takes the main focus. The chat bit is there but it's off to the side and it's very minimalist. Then you've got Discord, where the main focus is on the chat (of which I don't care for, because I'm in game) and the 'rooms' appear to be an afterthought, tucked away on the left. It just feels like Discord doesn't quite know what it was created to do. I'll use it, but it's not my first choice.

 

That being said, I'm sure we can all agree it's miles better than the other alternative: Skype.

I love Discord, so much so that I've subscribed to their Nitro thing. It doesn't offer much but I use it so often that I thought I ought to support them! TeamSpeak is 2nd on my list.
