Husbands Birthday next month, the big 3-0

We've been on a golfing holiday as a joint birthday present to ourselves, but I want to buy him a bit of something.

If I ask him about a gift he says not to bother. He does this ALL THE TIME!

So current options I've come up with are: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KeySmart-Compact-Key-Holder-Black/dp/B00JOFJJ5Y/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1462442854&sr=8-8&keywords=keysmart+extended (can get it cheaper from 'MURICA)

or maybe a new phone. He needs one. His M8 is failing miserably. He keeps banging on about getting an iPhone because of the slo-mo camera, or a nexus... but then money.

He likes golf and he has a youtube channel. I've also thought about ordering some business cards that advertise the channel... might be a nice idea. Maybe a go pro with a chest strap?

Suppose if all else fails it's got to be a party.

Heads up on the Nexus 6P, there's an issue with the slo-mo recording that hasn't yet been resolved since release!

Could get him a camera like the Xiaomi Yi, can do decent slo-mo :)

Is he any good? Maybe buy him a lesson with a pro?

He gets free lessons with the Pro at Prarie Sports Village :-/

Jeez, £30 for a couple of bits of aluminium and 2 pairs of nuts and bolts!

Is he interested in anything else? Might be worth taking a look for "experience days" to see if there is anything he might really like. My Mrs had got me a couple over the years and they where brilliant fun. One was a day flying falcons (something I had always wanted to do) and the other was off roading in a humvee which was both terrifying (massive, steep, hill climb sections!) and enormous fun :)

I dont play golf so not sure what is actually good and what is overprice junk that nobody actually wants but it does look like there are some fun tech toys to play here https://www.golfonline.co.uk/golf-gadgets/viewall

Laser ranger finders sound awesome, even as a non-golfer I still want one :)

I like the idea of those key things, but surely they only work if all your keys are Yale type/size? That would be all 3 car keys, 3 (possibly 4) school keys and one house key I couldn't fit in one (and only 4 to 5 that would fit) for me :(.

Does he like books? If so, a nice/first edition of one of his favourites? Or take a lead from Joey in Friend's and have some "Love Coupons" printed up.

I threatened to do one of those love books and apparently that would end in Dee-vorce! His sister did one at Christmas and we were fake retching whilst flicking through it!!

He doesn't read unfortunately.

Thanks all for suggestions. Some good ideas for Christmas and random Wednesdays too!

My sister bought my brother and I helicopter flight experience tickets, which we are both too heavy for as it turns out, so she has bought us tickets to a Ken Dodd show. Not really my cup of tea but then you can't say that can you? I am sure it will be fun. How tickled I am!

Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick, I think you've missed what a "Jo(ann)ey Love Coupon" was/would be used for. IIRC the were good for an hour at a time of special "Joey Love".

J: Where's my printing...?

Office: Dunno, we were doing a report run.....

*interlude*

Parent: "Thanks for sending us Tom's report, we're a little confused about the love tokens - is that like a merit badge?"
