Apparently one truck load of digestive biscuits is currently floating around the sea around Blackpool. I didn't get down to the sea though as the tide was coming in and the coastguard and police were clearing the beaches.

What was it doing out in the bad weather anyway? The entire country knew we were in for some bad storms, so why weren't they at the dock? Seems a bit stupid to try and navigate in the Irish sea in extremely poor weather...

Here's a link to the local newspaper, has several articles on the wrecking, rescue and salvage operation.

Additionally, the boat is sitting on a sewerage outlet pipe. Leading to some interesting possibilities.

1) It's broke it and Blackpool beach is going to be more awash with sewerage than usual.

2) It'll break when they move the boat leading to the same scenario as #1

3) It's crushed the pipe, meaning the sewerage system in Blackpool is slowly backing up...
