Morning all,

I've been passed from pillar to post by various channels of Microsoft support about this and can't seem to find an answer.

When we try to insert a quiz into Powerpoint 2016 using Office mix, we get an error that says "'Web add-ins can't run because all online content in Office is blocked. Go to the Trust Center to change your privacy settings."

However, I can't see where in the trust centre to achieve this.

This happens to all of our Office Mix users (W7 and W10, Office 2013 and 2016).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many Thanks as always!

There's an option under File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options called "Let Office connect to online services from Microsoft to provide functionality that's relevant to your usage and preferences".

There's also GPO settings that can turn off Online Services.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately the 'Let Office connect to Online Services...' box is already checked.

We don't have the Office 2016 admx templates configured across the site yet as there's only a few of us using Office 2016, so I can't see how it would be a GPO. Specifically which setting do you mean?

Do you have macros disabled? We found that threw off importing from CSV into Access and some other weird things.

Hi there, thanks for the reply, and I've got 'Enable all Macros' checked unfortunately! I've been through all of the Trust Centre settings and can't see anything that remotely looks like what the error message might be referring to:

I am getting similar issues with Office 2013, sometimes the tab disappears, sometimes they can't connect as it says Internet explorer has stopped responding. Very flaky I have to say!

tether a laptop with it to your school-issued mobile and just check it still doesn;t work when bypassing your filter and firewall in case it is some odd setting that is being picked up.
