Tandon actually had a couple of guys going by the names of 'Tan' and 'Don' at several computer shows I went to in the 80's. Awful computers!

elsiegee40 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I still have my Pansophic mug from my days as an PL/1 programmer. Pansophic was a code generator that was supposed to make coding quicker. The problem was that the code it generated was dreadfully inefficient - and it mattered a lot in those days - and no programmer worth their salt ever coded from scratch anyway. We reused chunks of code we'd already written and refined as you do still. 1

I was a network engineer for them (the ISP, not Evesham).

Tiny stood for "Tough it's now yours" at my former employers as we had so many come in for repair... 1

Tesla Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 My dad bought an EMachine laptop about 5 years ago, has been surprisingly rock solid! Barely had any issues (one weird grpahics issue but an update to flash and the driver sorted that)
