HI All,

Not sure if this has been asked on here before but here goes.

We are looking to purchase a SCORM editor so we can create some content for our VLE.

Does anyone know a good editor thats simple to use because we want to teach our staff how to use it..

Thanks Steve

You also have LodeStar Learning, Learning Essentials for Microsoft Office (which is actually a version of Thesis Lite), there are 3 different packages from Hunterstone which include Thesis Lite, Thesis Standard and Thesis Professional.

Also, remember that the latest version of Hot Potatoes has a SCORM export feature.

Also have a look at ReLoad.

It may also be worth an occasional visit to the home of SCORM, the Advanced Distributed Learning site, to look at press / events, as you sometimes find links to interesting companies on there too

Also a new product from RM I was looking at BETT is RM Fuse must say I was very impressed. When looked at exe learning and nots uni one a while back. Thought they where good but not very teacher friendly.

Got few currently looking at I might do some research into this and look at the features of them all. Once done I will post results up.

General teaching staff or specialised support staff? Xerte, Deltalearn, eXe and Reload are metadata editors, more for developers than teaching staff. Hot Potatoes actually produces SCORM activities - it's more the sort of thing you can sit staff in front of and explain "right, to make a SCORM quiz you first...". Have a look at digital workshop they have a product called opus pro which is very powerful and very easy to use and is SCORM compliant.

Are you using it at the moment? Are staff using it? How does the bulk standard teacher find it? When I originally saw it I thought it was overpriced for the money due to the lack of object library (the only thing that makes Thesis Professional acceptable to be honest otherwise that would be way over-priced too!)

Thanks Guys , I am greatful for such a good response and lots of good links and suggestions, i have been testing them on Our VLE test site and found that learning essential for Microsoft office works well and its free for schools ,it works like an addon to office,it uses the thesis lignt version to save resources in to scorm format. which suggests to me that thesis should work well with SLK and the pro version should give you more options.

Hot potatoes works very well but it does not keep the answers, it provides teacher with score but actual quiz or test resets it self. As nsbr said it could be if I am running an older version of SLK , upgrading it to SLK 1.3.1 might sort it But this might sound silly but how do I check which version of SLK i am running
