How To Display A Fullscreen Message And Play An Audio File???

Firstly apologies if this is in the wrong place.

 

I have been asked by SLT to device a system where they can display a full screen message and play an audio file on all of our PC's. The message will have to display on top of all open windows and should only be able to be dismissed by a select group of users (those who are able to send the message) I will be honest, I'm not sure where to start on this one, so any advice will be greatly received.

On logon? Or sent via a piece of software at will? If the latter, you're probably looking at AB Tutor Control or Impero.

NetSupport might be able to do what you want with custom lock screens.

is the idea that the message is dismissed remotely or from the local machine, or both?

I think what they want to achieve is that SLT can trigger the message but end users are able to dismiss it.

Hi Mike, this is Matt from NetSupport, take a look at NetSupport Notify, it's a very cost effective solution for displaying messages on PC's/digital signage - the message can be forced on top, displayed with a sound file, and there is a history of who has read the message - lots of other options but I think it may meet your requirements.
