Hello all

Does anyone have experience with Android tablets in education? Over the past few years we have experimented with iPads on and off and whilst the feedback has been good, we are keen to try out a few android alternatives before we make any firm decisions. These will be purchased with no *specific* use case in mind, we will be trying them across multiple departments, with teachers & students etc...

We are happy to consider pretty much any price or brand :)

Any suggestions will be gratefully received!

Thanks in advance

We have Learnpads here, a big push from HT and SMT means they are used well and their use is monitored and developed by the ICT coordinator. Like any ICT in education, if it's not "forced" on teachers then they won't bother to use it.

At our primary schools we have learnpads for pupils and Android tablets for the staff. Just looking to get some more Android tablets but not sure which I'll get. Been happy with both although the LearnPads are a mixed bag, very very good features - not all Play Store apps apps work on them as they are running an older android version.

We have a few of them, and we manage them very manually. They have a launcher on them which replaces the normal home screen and only shows the apps I choose.
